True, there is a horde of suppliers making cheaper furniture, but we can guarantee that they don't make them like we do! 
Our furniture is made by senior master craftsmen using wood joinery techniques, like mortises and tenons [you will not see butt joint scattered about on our furniture like the others]. The glue that we use is marine grade fevicol by pidilite - you will not find cheap local varieties and rip-offs of fevicol at our factories. Our finishes are branded and are applied by senior polish artists using their hands and spray machines for that impeccable finishing that you will take pride in. 

Usually, as per our calculation we take about 30% more time in loving and completing a piece of furniture than that of the average, poorly built furniture - this is because each step of our furniture making is quality controlled and most importantly has that loving human touch by people who really love doing what they do!

At CustHum we use solid Canadian/Swedish pinewood sourced from our merchants in India. This wood is harvested from timber plantations in the native countries following their eco-sustainable timber harvesting policies. The wood, once it is milled, is kiln and yard dried. Our wood contains no critters or worms. Pinewood is naturally resistant to termites.

Based on demand and if only requested by the customer, we also use rubber wood and plywood.

We may eventually include maple, walnut and sheesham in our offering --  will keep you posted with an announcement.

Yeah, we love this question! We pride ourselves in our finishing techniques and have some of the best polish craftsmen doing up your furniture. In terms of material, we use only premium material - for instance, we use Melamyne finishing and exterior grade PU from Asian Paints.

If the furniture is painted, we either use Enamel or Apex emulsions from Asian paints.

Our wood stains and sealers are from Frenchman. Furniture never had it so good. Feel our furniture and you'll be a convert for life!

Distressing is an elaborate technique of finishing furniture where furniture is made to look aged and well-loved. We first stain the furniture in a wood finish (usually walnut tones) and then paint it in a color of your choice. Just as the paint is about to set, we carefully sand out the paint in areas that see the most usage - this makes the furniture look old, antiquated and... well, distressed. It provides a lovely effect that makes furniture stand out.

Only the best kind. Our sustainability goals include making furniture that will last scores of years for your to enjoy - for instance, we use above industry standard furniture leg bushes, our channels are EBCO branded (no local 32 ruppee channels at custhum, ever!). Our handles are brass or brass-coated. Our hinges are usually antique brass hinges. All these contribute to you getting a bang for your buck!
